Building Work

For the last few months refurbishment works to St Leonard’s Church have been happening, and things are almost finished!

The project includes fabric repairs to the building, new heating and lighting (powered by a new eco-friendly air source heat pump), a café space and a welcoming and accessible new entrance with amazing porch (pictured).

This does mean that certain parts of the churchyard will be closed for short periods while being worked on, but some access will always be possible, please do take care when visiting!

We’re excited to have been working with John Puttick and Associates (www.johnputtickassociates.com) as lead architect and DBR (www.dbrlimited.com) as lead contractor (who have some experience of heritage buildings having just finished Big Ben and the Liberty building amongst others so we are in safe hands!).

Updates

We are excited to be now meeting back in the church on a Sunday morning. We’re looking forward to welcoming you all in for services, coffee and community! Works are still continuing while the building is being finished, we can’t wait to open up the space fully.

For now, Sunday morning services are in St Leonards Church and we will continue our midweek activities in St Leonard’s Church Hall on Glebe Villas.
